Now don't they? And if you want proof, trying doing what they do. And I don't mean... cooking, cleaning, serving, washing and folding... I mean that’s there...but I’m talking about doing what they do and doing it the way they do it.
You see my mom's been unwell lately and I have been managing the house... now i, by most standards, am phenomenally clean... oft I have been referred to as, maniac, squeaky and various other names that aren’t very flattering. Especially, if you have been beaten up for trying to clean a loo at 6 in the morning when your roommates are asleep.
So ya… you know what I am talking about...
Meanwhile... my mom has this uncanny, yet very very welcome, knack of making sure my tea is on the table, as soon as I am done brushing. It’s almost clockwork... And the few times she gets it wrong, she is profusely apologetic. I know... she just loves me...
So ya... I tried doing everything she does in the morning before she leaves for work... I took three days...
You see it’s not a woman thing... it’s a mom thing... u can only achieve this if you're a mom... teaching, cleaning, cooking... they're always in present continuous....
You know what maybe the best mother's day gift would be what we do on teacher's day... Do all their work and let them rest.
This one is to all moms: Hats off.
And to mine: Get well soon. I love you.
